Estate security · Lagos, Nigeria

Estate security for Lagos, built in Lagos.

VillaSafe is gate access control software made in Ikoyi for the way Lagos estates actually run: queues at the gate in the evening rush, dispatch riders all day, artisans who were “sent by Madam”, and networks that drop at the worst moment. Residents send guests a QR pass on WhatsApp, guards scan it, and the estate keeps a record of every entry.

01The gate in Lagos

Lagos gates move fast. So should the checks.

Along the Lekki–Epe corridor, a single estate can see a stream of residents, guests, ride-hailing drivers and dispatch riders in one evening. When each of them means a phone call from the gatehouse, the queue soon backs up onto the road.

Newer estates in Ajah, Sangotedo and Ibeju-Lekki often start with a guard, a chair and a notebook. Older ones in Ikeja GRA, Magodo and Surulere have run the same logbook routine for years. Either way, the questions after an incident are the same: who came in, who let them in, and where is the record?

VillaSafe was built here, so it was built for this: offline-first for patchy networks, WhatsApp-friendly for guests who won’t install anything, and simple enough for a guard on a twelve-hour shift.

02What VillaSafe changes

Built for what happens at your gate

  • 01

    The evening rush

Guests arrive with passes already approved, so guards scan and wave them through instead of calling houses one by one.

  • 02

    Riders and ride-hailing drivers

Residents create a pass for a delivery or a driver in a few taps, and the guard sees exactly which house it’s for.

  • 03

A network that comes and goes

The guard app checks passes with no data at all, and syncs every entry when the network is back.

03How a visit works

Invite. Share. Scan. Open.

  1. 1

    Invite

The resident creates a guest pass in the app: who is coming, which day and what time.

  2. 2

    Share

The pass goes to the guest on WhatsApp as a QR code and a PIN. Guests don’t need the app.

  3. 3

    Scan

The guard scans the code at the gate. VillaSafe checks it at once, even with no network.

  4. 4

    Open

With a connected barrier, the gate lifts by itself. Every visit is logged in and out.

Local questions, straight answers

Do you install barriers and RFID readers in Lagos?

Yes. Our team is based in Ikoyi and handles site surveys, supply, installation and support for estates across Lagos.

Can you show us VillaSafe at our estate?

Yes. We can demo VillaSafe at your gate anywhere in Lagos, or run the demo online if that suits your exco better.

Does it work for estates on the island and on the mainland?

Yes. The app works wherever your guards have a phone, from Victoria Island to Ikorodu, and our team is right here in Ikoyi.

Our estate has a gate on a busy road. Will scanning slow traffic down?

It usually speeds it up. A scan replaces the phone call to the house, and residents with RFID car tags can drive in without stopping at all.
