Estate security · Ibadan, Nigeria

Ibadan estates, without the logbook.

Ibadan’s estates range from established neighbourhoods like Bodija, Jericho and Iyaganku GRA to newer developments along Akobo, Oluyole and the Ring Road. Whatever the age of the estate, VillaSafe gives the gate a modern routine: QR passes on WhatsApp, a guard app that works offline, and a record you can search.

01The gate in Ibadan

The routine works, until something goes missing.

In many Ibadan estates the residents’ association still runs the gate the way it always has: a guard, a book and a phone. It works well enough until something goes missing, and then nobody can say who came in that afternoon.

Ibadan estates are often spread out, with homes a long way from the gate. A resident shouldn’t have to walk down to the gate, or take three calls, to let one visitor in.

VillaSafe keeps the routine simple and adds the record: residents send passes, guards scan them, and the association can see every visit.

02What VillaSafe changes

Built for what happens at your gate

  • 01

    Big, spread-out estates

Guests with a valid pass go straight to the house instead of waiting at the gate while someone is called.

  • 02

    Associations that run the gate

Officers manage residents and guards themselves, and share reports at meetings.

  • 03

Guards who know the book well

One screen to learn, training at setup, and short video guides for every task.

03How a visit works

Invite. Share. Scan. Open.

  1. 1

    Invite

The resident creates a guest pass in the app: who is coming, which day and what time.

  2. 2

    Share

The pass goes to the guest on WhatsApp as a QR code and a PIN. Guests don’t need the app.

  3. 3

    Scan

The guard scans the code at the gate. VillaSafe checks it at once, even with no network.

  4. 4

    Open

With a connected barrier, the gate lifts by itself. Every visit is logged in and out.

Local questions, straight answers

Can our residents’ association manage VillaSafe itself?

Yes. Association officers can be estate admins: they add residents and guards, manage the gates and pull reports for meetings.

Our guards aren’t tech-savvy. Will they cope?

If a guard can use WhatsApp, they can use VillaSafe. The guard app is one screen: scan the code, check the name, let the guest in. We train your guards when we set you up, and short how-to videos cover every task they’ll do.

Do you work in estates outside Ibadan city?

Yes. VillaSafe works in estates across Oyo State and the rest of Nigeria, wherever your guards have a phone.
